What Pallet Type Do I Need?
With a lots of different pallet options, we have put together a short guide to the various pallets so you can identify the type you will need.
Timber Pallets
Timber pallets are an exceptional choice because they are sturdy and can be tailored to your needs. They are also the green choice as timber is highly recyclable and manufacturing process produces less CO2 emissions; many unwanted pallets can be given a new lease of life after some minor refurbishment.
We’ve listed the most common types of reconditioned timber pallets below.
Plastic Pallets
Plastic pallets may not be as friendly to the environment, but they still prove a reliable, strong and lightweight alternative to timber products. They are also easier to clean, maintain, can withstand major temperature changes and do not need to be heat treated when used within international shipping.
ISPM15 – International Exportation
If you choose timber pallets for use within international exports, you will need them to be heat treated to comply with regulation ISPM15. We are audited every 6 months to ensure our on-site heat treatment plant and ISPM15 documentation and procedures comply the ISPM15 regulations.
We also offer heat treatment on timber products not manufactured by ourselves for your convenience.
UK Transportation
If you are shipping within the UK only, you are not required to heat treat your pallets.
If you are still unsure of which pallet will suit your needs and the obligatory standards required, please call us to discuss your specific pallet needs in more detail, you can contact us here.
